Edgemont, South Dakota
Before filming Prehistoric Road Trip in 2019, my co-producer Ally Gimbel and I set off on a lightning-fast scouting trip to visit some of the locations and people we hoped to feature in the show. This painting is based on a photograph I took through the passenger-side window outside of Edgemont, South Dakota, as a break in the rainy clouds gave a glimpse of the sunset.
